In short, this is a Kesari of Ladakh! But enough about India! Here, is the detailed information about China. China is the biggest superpower in Asia if not in the world. They have everything. They have technology, money & people. In short, China is powerful and nobody messes with it. Not even the USA & not even Russia. We have a bully constantly eyeing our land. In 1962, China wanted to teach India a lesson. May be it has something to do with Tibet........ And the HH Dalai Lama taking refuge in India! This is our independent India........ This part of Jammu and Kashmir was already taken away by our beloved neighbours. And China's troops were marching in from here. The problem is India never expected that China would attack. But How long could we be? On 18th November 1962 6,000 Chinese troops entered Rezangla a mountain pass just a little ahead of everyone's favourite Pangong lake. it was winter time with sub zero temperature. No air support, No artillery support Not ev...
I LOVE YOU INDIA๐
100 Reasons to Love India | The Story of RaddiConnect.
Did you know?
School benches can be made from your waste.
In the above photo you can see a thing which is similar like wood and it is very hard. This is stronger than wood. You can make furniture and this is completely made out of our waste. And this is strong. You get the point! Now, I will tell you the problem that's become a solution.
Indore generates 1.5 million metric tonne trash everyday. That's enough to build 3 Burj Khalifa every single day. You must have heard of the deonar dumpyard in Mumbai. Mumbai's very own 14 floor mountain of trash whereas every year fire breaks out at Mumbai devnar dump spreads and rages on.
Even Delhi has a huge mountain of trash and that is India's tallest garbage mountain in New Delhi. Bengaluru has a foaming lake that catches fire.
And this problem has not even spared Ladakh. But wait. This blog post is not about problems. This post is about solution.
1: Let us look at people who are one step ahead of us.
Raddiwala newspapers boxes bottles from you because these things can easily be recycled but the problem is if you break a glass bottle or take the glass pieces from you because broken glass has a cover resale value.
A raddiwala is trying to make a living!
They don't know how much they will earn. They only buy high value trash. In the existing infrastructure recycling low value waste is difficult! And that's where Raddi connect comes in.
What is Raddi connect?
It is a network of Raddiwalas in your city. So if you have dry waste at your home you have to call on this number and a Raddiwala will come and collect the waste from you. The value of your waste is donated in your name.
It's a good idea right?
So who all benefits from this?
You! As your waste is taken away. Raddiwalas as they get regular income. The government as their load comes down. The environment as the waste is recycled!
But how did this idea come?
The idea came when they did a project at Deonar landfill where the life expectancy of rag pickers is only 39 years. So, at a household level the biggest problem is waste segregation.
Let's take it one step at a time!
What is wet waste?
Anything natural that comes from your kitchen. It's anything that you or any animal will eat or something that is natural that can go in the soil and will decompose!
What is dry waste?
Artificial things that can't decompose in the soil. This includes man made products like plastic, paper or any metals!
Even glass!
When waste is not segregated one type of waste can contaminate the other type of waste. For example: If you mix wet waste and dry waste together the kitchen waste can contaminate paper that could have been easily recycled!
But what happens when yoy segregate your waste?
I will give you an example!
So a typical wrapper of Britannia cake. This is MFP MULTILAYER FLEXIBLE PACKAGING.
There are multiple layer of different materials like Aluminium and Plastic and separating this is very difficult!
But don't think of this is completely waste.
Because our friends at RaddiConnect have made a board out of this waste. There are many wrappers compressed and formed into a wood like structure.
What if we start making future with this?
Trees won't get cut! Our waste will be used.
Let's make this good post been viral everywhere.
When you separate your plastic waste it is converted into flakes. Flakes are converted into fibres and this fibres are used to make clothes. Something which is been used in the cricket team Jersey now.
Imagine one day Virat Kohli can be wearing a Jersey from the plastic that that you recycled!

The Mumbai Park has Eco-Friendly benches made of 65000 Tetra Pack Cartoons collected over 3 years.
The roads can also build from your waste.
Today, thousands of man hours are wasted separating waste. If we segregate our waste at source then all the Safaiwalas can get it recycled easily. We went to a dry waste collection plant to see how our waste is not actually wasted but is sorted and recycled.
Raddi connect is working with government to help them in waste segregation and recycling. It's a great example of how companies can help governments build smarter and efficient cities.
Waste is a huge problem for India. Waste is everywhere, all around us. So do we automatically equate India with Waste?
ABSOLUTELY NOT!
In the same way any problem like poverty, unemployment, population is a part of India not the whole of it.
We have heard it in movies.
No country is perfect it has to be made perfect.
These are hundred stories that focus on a positive India to make you realise there are a lot of people cleaning up. But we have to clean any mental dogmas ourselves.
Are mental stigma that India is a third world country that India can't make anything good is the biggest problem. We Indians have and finding a solution to this problem is not a waste of time.
And that's the reason
Why?
I LOVE INDIA.
